WILDER OLIMBA TREE PLANTING Project
Trees contribute to clean air, provide shade to cool the temperature and add beauty to the environment. In the Maasai Mara ecosystem, one of the major threats facing the region is rapid lost of natural forests in form of deforestation triggered by overgrazing, climate change and unsustainable use of natural resources. At Olimba, it is our mission to change this.
Reforestation
The land where Olimba Camp was built on had been completely overgrazed for almost a decade. As the land is now in our hands, we will do everything to renature the area and let the ecosystem recover.
Benefits & Impact
By protecting and reforesting the land, wildlife will move back into this area and use the open wildlife corridor between the National Reserve, Naboisho Conservancy and Nashulai Conservancy.
What can you do?
With a donation of 6 USD, you can plant a tree with us at Olimba. Our gardener Richard will then take care of it and make it grow.
Any donation towards the tree planting project will be highly appreciated.

Oliveseed’s approach is a holistic blend of educational enrichment, empowerment of women, and sustainable development, while also boosting local conservation through these initiatives.
After running grassroots operations in the Maasai Mara since 2017 from Oliveseed U.S., Amos Kipeen and Barb Mackraz founded Oliveseed Kenya Trust in 2021 as a registered nonprofit in Kenya.
